Size the lift before you ring
Pick a capacity and the elevation redraws to scale, with a house and a five-storey block beside it for reference. It will not replace a lift chart, but it tells you what sort of machine the job is asking for.

Two ways to hire a crane
Both come with a qualified operator. The difference is who plans the lift and who carries the risk.
You run the lift
You have an appointed person and a lift plan; we supply the crane, operator and certified gear under CPA hire terms. Best when your site already manages lifting operations.

Ground conditions
Outriggers need firm, level ground. Tell us if the site is soft or made-up and we will bring mats.
Getting the crane in
All-terrain carriers need width and height to get in. Send us a photo or postcode and we will check the route.
Lifting gear
Slings, chains, shackles and spreader beams come certified. Tell us the weights and pick points and we will rig it.

Genie and JLG booms and scissor lifts from the same yard, delivered on our low loader while the crane drives itself to site.
Not sure which crane the job needs?
It is nearly always the radius that decides it, not the weight, and that is a two-minute conversation rather than a form. Tell us what is being lifted and how far the crane has to stand off it.
Site visits
We would rather see it than guess it
Photographs and postcodes get most lifts spec-ed on the phone. When they do not, we come out and stand in the spot the crane has to stand in, because that is the only way to be sure about the set-up, the ground and the route in.
What we look at
Where the crane can set up, what the outriggers are going onto, the radius to the load, the route in and anything overhead. We measure it rather than eyeball it.
